FREE YOUR MIND CAMPINGCAMP RULES AND REGULATIONSFree Your Mind Camping (FYMC) has established rules and regulations to protect camp area for the enjoyment of future generations as well as for the convenience and safety of the camp visitors. To ensure your visit is a pleasant one, please observe the following:CAMPSITE USE must be paid for in advance. To hold a campsite, it must be reserved online by an adult no younger than twenty-one years old at freeyourmindcamping.com, where every person has completed a General Release of Liability form and been registered to reserve their specific campsite. There is a limit of four people per campsite: NO EXCEPTIONS. Guest/Visitors are not permitted and will be considered Trespassers if they are not registered properly.CHECKOUT TIME is 11:00 am. Check-In time is 1:00 pm. (Any time after 1:00pm)In order to provide for the greatest number of visitors possible the CAMPING LIMIT at FYMC is 7 days per month maximum without prior authorization.DEAD & DOWN BRUSH AND WOOD CUTTING OR GATHERING is PROHIBITED. Decayed vegetation forms humus and assists the growth of trees and other plants. When considered a hazard, down wood in immediate camping areas is removed by Camp Management.FIREWOOD BUNDLES are available for PURCHASE for your convenience. Fires are permitted only in the provided fire ring in each campsite. All wood and fire must be contained inside of the fire ring. This is necessary to prevent disastrous fires. Portable stoves may be used in designated areas. It is the responsibility of every visitor to use extreme caution with any burning materials, including tobacco and marijuana. ALL Fireworks are prohibited.FOOD should be stored in a bear-resistant device or in your vehicle. Prepare, cook, and eat whenever you like, but never be more than arms-length away from your food at all times when it is not being stored. DO NOT FEED wild animals and leave no crumbs behind!PETS (including cats) CAN NOT be turned loose in camp. All animals must be under immediate physical control. Pets must be on a tended leash no more than 6 feet or confined in an enclosed vehicle, tent, or pen. Visitors with vicious, dangerous, noisy, or disturbing animals will be ejected from the campground. Do NOT allow your pet to disturb the wild animals. NO PETS ALLOWED IN POND. POND is for LOOKING ONLY!NO Fishing, Swimming, wading, boating, kayaking, etc. NOT ALLOWED. NATURAL SCENERY, PLANTS, AND ANIMAL LIFE are the principal attractions of Del Norte County. They are integral parts of the ecosystem and natural community. As such they are protected by Federal and State laws. Disturbance or Destruction of these resources is strictly FORBIDDEN.TRASH/REFUSE including garbage, cigarettes, paper boxes, bottles, ashes, and other rubbish, shall be placed only in designated receptacles. Your pleasure and pride in your Camp will be enhanced when campsites are kept clean.FIREARMS Discharge of firearms or air rifles is PROHIBITED.NOISE from engine-driven electric generators, other noisy machinery, and music that might disturb others may be operated only between the hours 10:00 am until 10:00 pm. Loud disturbing vocalizations, raucous partying, or any other noise is prohibited between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am.VEHICLE TRAVEL must be confined to designated roads or areas. The speed for all vehicles is 10 mph in camp, picnic, utility, or headquarters areas and areas of general assemblage. Parking is permitted ONLY in designated areas. Blocking the entryway from French Hill Road or parking spaces with a vehicle or trailer is prohibited.ALWAYS LOCK THE GATE BEHIND YOU whenever you and your party come or go.PLEASE clean up after yourself so that others may enjoy the beauty of this Camp.LEAVE ONLY FOOTPRINTS,TAKE ONLY MEMORIESLast updated June 2024
